Wabi Sabi Teapot

A softly rounded teapot thrown in dark, iron-rich stoneware and finished with loose, gestural sweeps of white glaze. Each brushstroke is left raw and unrefined, pooling in some places and thinning to bare clay in others, much like the hakeme tradition of Japanese pottery. Its handle is hand-wrapped cane, bound tightly across the top and released into long, untamed fibers that sweep outward like dry grass in the wind.

Quiet, earthy, and a little wild, it celebrates the beauty of imperfection. Each piece is thrown, glazed, and wrapped by hand, so no two are exactly alike.
